Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication Datia campus will be expanded: Vice-Chancellor Professor KG Suresh

The Datia campus of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication was started in 2018. At that time BA (Mass Communication) was the only course that started.  In the year 2019 and the year 2020, the admission process was kept postponed.  In the academic year 2021, the Vishwavidyalaya plans to expand the Datia campus with four courses.  Under the National  Education policy, B.A.  (Mass Communication), M.A.  (Mass Communication), DCA, and PGDCA one-year courses in computer subjects have been started.  The admission process online continues till 25 September.  Opposite Khairi Mata Mandir, located on Unao Road


After inspecting the building provided by the district administration, the Vice-Chancellor also issued necessary guidelines to the university authorities regarding the improvement of the arrangements there.  He was accompanied by Registrar Dr. Avinash Bajpai, Academic Coordinator cum Campus In-charge Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Campus Mentor Dr. Manikanthan Nair, Campus Co-Coordinator Dr. Kapilraj Chandouria, Administrative Officer Rajesh Sharma and staff were present.

Courtesy call with home minister At the residence of Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor Professor KG Suresh gave a courtesy visit and discussed detailed information on the development plans of Datia campus.  Dr. Narottam Mishra gave necessary directions to the Collector of Datia for providing cooperation on a priority basis in shifting the building operated in front of Khairi Mata Temple to the middle of Datia city.  The problem of power supply in the building was also pointed out by the Vice-Chancellor.

 Vice-Chancellor K.G.Suresh discussed in detail the infrastructure requirements of the Datia campus.  Soon considering the alternative buildings available in Datia city

 Collector Datia gave assurance of allotment of building in the middle of the city.  So that the girl students do not face any problem while coming for studies.

he discussed that the girl's students of Datia and surrounding rural areas are unable to study in professional courses outside the city due to various reasons.  Realizing this difficulty, MA (Mass Communication) course has been started in the Datia campus this year.  Vice-Chancellor KG Suresh, met with the Principal of Girls' College, Dr. Sangeeta Bhatnagar, and requested to inform and guide the female students who have passed graduation from the college regarding the PG course of the university.  So that the number of girl students can be increased in the Datia campus.


Vice-Chancellor honored by alumni This was the first time for the students in Datia campus when he was meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of his university.  Before this, not any Vice-Chancellor had visited this campus. The students and former students who are currently studying at datia campus openly shared their thoughts with the Vice-Chancellor.  Vice-Chancellor Professor KG Suresh assured the students that the best arrangements for teaching and practical work would be provided to you.  Quality arrangements will be made for teaching in the classes by the Integrated Classroom.  Efforts will be made to engage in media institutions for internships.


 As a representative of the alumni on the occasion of Teachers' Day, Akshar Patsaria welcomed Vice-Chancellor KG Suresh by wearing a garland of flowers.  BA Mass Communication students Deepak Yadav, Ajay Singh Parmar, and Roshni Sharma also presented a bouquet by garlanding them, Vice-Chancellor K. G.  Suresh's blessings.  Vice-Chancellor K.  G.  Suresh informed that the University has constituted Alumni Cell in Bhopal this year. The purpose of which is to cooperate with the alumni in the development of the University and to make the students studying as a bridge for acquaintance with the alumni.

Vice-Chancellor Professor KG Suresh, while discussing on tea with the journalist friends of newspapers, electronic media and digital media of Datia district on Sunday, spoke openly about the expansion plans, courses, and possibilities of short term training of rural journalists of Datia campus.  He also requested the local media to extend cooperation for the development of Datia campus.  The journalist friends, taking advantage of the long media experience of the Vice-Chancellor, presented their curiosities on other subjects of journalism and came to the views of Vice-Chancellor K. G. Suresh.
