Journalism without literature without culture: Prof. KG Suresh (Vice Chancellor MCU)

Patna: Under the joint auspices of the Department of Hindi and Journalism of Patna University,  On Monday, under the chairmanship of Tarun Kumar, the Vice-Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism University, Bhopal, Prof. KG Suresh delivered a special lecture on the topic 'Journalism and Literature',

Expressing concern over the language of today's journalism, he said that there is no place for hysteria and animosity in journalism. The language of journalism should be the language of restraint and culture, in which journalism will have to reconnect its broken relationship with literature.

Maintaining the trust of society is the biggest challenge before journalism today because today everything is in doubt. In the name of showing the truth, the way things are being shown in the language, it sometimes seems like something outside civilized society. What is being reflected in the media today is the truth of Indian society. This needs to be considered.

Prof. Suresh said that today there is a need to keep in mind the true interests of the readers-viewers a new and there is a need to make their linguistic and socio-cultural concerns people-oriented. It is not correct to determine the interests of the audience in advance.

On the occasion, Patna College's Hindi department head Dr. Kumari Vibha, teachers Dr. Martand Pragalbha, Dr. Piyush Raj, Dr. Gautam Kumar, Prashant Ranjan, and graduate and post-graduate students of Hindi and Mass Communication Department were present.
